This temporary location for Dandelion Chocolate is primarily retail with educational chocolate-making experiences in a street-facing classroom. The challenge was to create a tactile and textured retail experience that feels permanent. The luxurious leather countertops and brass trim belie the module construction. Everything can be disassembled with a screwdriver and allen wrench. Large chalkboard walls, handmade chocolate bar wrappers used as wallpaper, and a hand-painted exterior sign create an illusion of permanence. This project was designed in collaboration with Laun.
